You must be a responsible individual with at least three years’ licensed experience in driving a manual-transmission tractor-trailer rig with 53’ dry van trailers.
You must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, and DOT physical. You will be subject to random drug testing for the duration of your employment.
You will operate class 8 vehicles in a safe and professional manner, hauling loads up to 45,000 pounds (80,000 pounds gross weight).
Your job will involve performing pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer, maintaining regular communication with dispatch, notifying dispatch of any issues that arise, hooking and unhooking from trailers as needed.
Your goal is to ensure timely pickup and delivery of all loads while following all company, state, and federal safety laws and guidelines.
The hours required for this position will vary on a day-to-day basis. This position will require occasional weekend work.
You are expected and required to follow all Hours-of-Service guidelines.
You will maintain daily records of miles traveled and hours worked.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Hold and maintain a Virginia Class A Commercial Drivers’ License
Pass and maintain a DOT physical

Maintain accurate daily and monthly paperwork
